Machelle A. Perkins, D.O.M., N.M.D. established her practice in 1999. She received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, a post graduate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and also a Medical Degree in Naturopathy from St. Luke’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Perkins is nationally and state board certified by the National Certification of Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Florida Department of Health as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She has passed her National board exam in Naturopathy and possesses a license to practice Naturopathy in the District of Columbia. She served on the medical board of the Cancer Wellness Institute from 2000-2004. Dr. Perkins has lectured to The Society of Radiation Therapists on the benefits of Oriental Medicine for cancer patients. She has been interviewed on nationally broadcast, Good Day New York where she discussed the benefits of Oriental Medicine. She treats a wide range of patients including professional athletes. Dr. Perkins promotes a natural approach when treating patients, especially in the fields of pain management, aesthetic enhancement and nutritional counseling.
Certifications: She is nationally and state board certified as an Acupuncture Physician. She is presently Nationally board certified in Naturopathy and carries two licenses outside of the State of Florida. She was on the Medical Board for the Cancer Wellness Institute for 4 years. Dr. Perkins has not only taught CEU's to radiation therapist but has been featured on Good Day New York and 46 news stations throughout the country explaining the benefits of Oriental Medicine for cancer patients. Dr. Perkins continues to give lectures to cancer patients on the benifits of Oriental Medicine even though her main focus of her practice has changed to pain management, and natural approaches to Aesthetic Medicine. She is presently a member of American Society of Aesthetic Mesotherapy (ASAM), American Association of Oriental Medicine and Florida Naturopathic Association. |
